Overview
A globally serving EdTech brand offering multiple pharma courses to students across India, the US, the UK, Canada, and Australia. Despite a genuine global audience, the brand had almost no organic visibility on Google, meaning prospective students in these markets simply couldn’t find them.
The goal was to build SEO for Pharma courses the right way: technically sound, properly targeted across each market, and backed by content built for a niche, high-competition category.
Problem
Several compounding issues were keeping this brand invisible in search, across every target market at once.
The challenges included:
- Unoptimized international SEO pages meant the site struggled to rank separately across the US, UK, Canada, and Australia
- The website wasn't ranking for relevant unbranded keywords, making it hard for potential students to find their courses organically
- Competing against established platforms offering broader pharmaceutical and medical education made the niche market especially difficult
- Technical issues, poor site speed, missing meta tags, and unoptimized URLs, were actively hurting search performance
organic clicks in month one, despite serving students across 5 countries
For a brand built to serve a global audience, this meant nearly the entire addressable market of prospective students couldn’t find them through search.
Approach
We executed a structured SEO strategy across four connected phases, combining technical fixes, content, authority building, and continuous optimization.
The solution included:
- Fixing technical and international SEO issues by implementing Hreflang tags to properly target the US, UK, and Australia, optimizing site speed and Core Web Vitals, fixing crawl and indexing errors in Google Search Console, and improving mobile usability
- Enhancing content for visibility and engagement through keyword research to find high-traffic, low-competition Pharma terms, optimizing course pages with structured descriptions and FAQs, and publishing long-form blog content formatted to compete for featured snippets
- Strengthening authority with backlink building by acquiring high-quality backlinks from pharma industry blogs and educational directories, engaging in relevant forum and Q&A discussions, and building internal links between blogs and course pages
- Competitive benchmarking and continuous optimization by analyzing competitor SEO strategies to identify content gaps, refining content based on search trends and algorithm updates, and expanding content clusters to build topical authority
This combination of technical, content, and authority work was built specifically for the demands of SEO for EdTech companies: a niche category that also needs to rank across multiple countries at once.
Outcome
We executed a structured international SEO strategy for edtech brand across 4 connected phases, combining technical fixes, content, authority building, and continuous optimization.
The results were measurable within the first 3 months.
organic clicks by month three, up from 35 in month one (8.5x growth)
keywords ranking on Google’s first page.
Several unbranded, course-related keywords moved into top 10 to 20 positions across multiple countries, and optimized international SEO pages began appearing for country-specific search queries. Across the full 3-month comparison, total organic clicks climbed from zero to 610 as recorded in Google Search Console, with engagement on course pages improving alongside the traffic gains.
This is what SEO for Pharma courses looks like when country-level targeting, technical health, and content authority are built together instead of treated separately.
